Shaukat Ali Yousafzai Assumes Charge as RTS Commissioner
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 09, 2026) Retired PMS Grade-20 officer Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has assumed charge as Commissioner of the Right to Public Services Commission (RTS), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and pledged to ensure timely, transparent, and improved delivery of public services to citizens.
Yousafzai brings extensive administrative experience to the position, having served as Commissioner in Mardan, Bannu, Hazara, and Malakand. He hails from Swat and held several key administrative positions during his career.
Upon assuming charge, the newly appointed commissioner visited the RTS Commission headquarters and met with the Chief Commissioner and other officers. He received a detailed briefing on the commission’s mandate, procedures, ongoing initiatives, and public awareness activities.
Later, while chairing a meeting with the commission’s staff, Yousafzai emphasized the importance of:
- Timely, transparent, and citizen-oriented delivery of public services for good governance.
- The RTS Commission continuing its effective role in protecting citizens’ legal right to receive notified public services within stipulated time frames.
He suggested that the commission needs to further promote modern technology, data-driven monitoring, and effective public outreach to identify obstacles in service delivery, monitor performance, and ensure accountability of relevant departments.
Yousafzai stated his priority would be to make the RTS system more accessible, efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly, enabling people to obtain government services without unnecessary delays, difficulties, or hurdles.
The commission’s officers and employees welcomed Yousafzai as the new commissioner and expressed their resolve to work under his guidance to further strengthen and improve the Right to Public Services system across the province.
