Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships, PST Genesis and Grand Ocean, carrying Palm oil and Canola Seed, berthed at Liquid Cargo Terminal and Grain Terminal on September 6th. Simultaneously, two more ships, Aetos and Chem Orchid, scheduled to load/offload Rice and Chemicals, also arrived at the outer anchorage on the same day.
Ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the previous 24 hours, out of which five ships—Peng Hu Wan, Hosun, Gem Darcy, Gooby, and Meghna Rose—are expected to sail this afternoon.
A total of 88,909 tons of cargo, comprising 82,381 tons of imports and 6,528 tons of exports, was handled at the port during the last 24 hours.
Seventeen ships are currently at the Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, among which five ships—Yon Ding-19, Bird-16, Chem Orchid, Shahriar Jahan-I, and another ship named 'Brooklyn Bridge'—are scheduled to take berths at MW-1, FAP, EVTL, MW-4, PQPET, and QICT respectively on Monday.
