The world’s fastest bowler, Shoaib Akhtar, has declared a video supporting Test cricketer Mohammad Rizwan fake. The video, circulating on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), allegedly features Akhtar saying, "Why are you punishing this decent and respectable player? It is beyond understanding what is going on in Pakistan cricket."

Akhtar refuted the video's authenticity via his X handle, commenting that it was fabricated.

The video accused coach Mike Hesson of ruining Rizwan’s career due to personal ego, while claiming the cricket board remained silent spectators. It further demanded evidence be presented if Rizwan had made a mistake.
