Sialkot Celebrates Eid Milad-un-Nabi With Religious Fervour

Sialkot celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi with great enthusiasm and religious fervour on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. According to details provided, a total of 5 A-category, 39 B-category, and 140 C-category processions were organized in the district.

The main procession began from Abu Hanifah Mosque on Govt Murray College Road in Sialkot city. CCTV cameras were installed along the routes, and the Safe City Project’s cameras also monitored the processions. Hafiz Asghar Ali Cheema, Coordinator District Peace Committee, along with Peace Committee officials and procession organizers, participated in the main event, which attracted a large number of citizens.

Religious leaders and scholars emphasized the importance of following Islamic principles and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to overcome contemporary challenges during their addresses. Prayers for the country’s development, prosperity, and peace were offered.

The district was illuminated with colorful lights, and 1880 police officers and employees ensured security during the 184 processions. Deputy Commissioner Awais Mustaq and District Police Officer (DPO) Captain (retd) Dost Muhammad oversaw arrangements for the main event.
