SIUT Welcomes Dr. Azhar Rashid as Chief of Oncology Services

The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has appointed Dr. Azhar Rashid as its new Chief of Oncology Services. This move strengthens the institution's cancer care network in Karachi and Sukkur, Pakistan.

Dr. Rashid, an experienced oncologist with expertise in medical oncology, radiation oncology, and stereotactic radiosurgery, holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Oncology from the University of Nottingham, UK, and is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS).

In his new role, Dr. Rashid will oversee SIUT's medical and radiation oncology services across its cancer service line, encompassing facilities in both Karachi and Sukkur. He will be based primarily at the Mehrunnisa Medical Complex in Karachi.

With his extensive experience in various aspects of oncology, Dr. Rashid is expected to contribute to the further development of cancer treatment services at SIUT, while upholding the institution's commitment to providing quality healthcare free of cost and with dignity.
