Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) celebrated Mehfil-e-Milaad-un-Nabi (PBUH) with great religious fervor and enthusiasm on Thursday at its auditorium.
Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai, Vice Chancellor of SMIU, shared his insights on the blessed life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), highlighting that his teachings offer a profound guide to transforming society. He emphasized the importance of implementing the Last Sermon of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), advocating for a unified approach to fostering peace, brotherhood, and equality.
Earlier, SMIU student Hamza Arshad recited Qaseeda Burda Sharif, praising the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Students from SMI Model School, Haseeb, Uzma, and Bismah, performed Naat-e-Sharif, while Urooj delivered a speech focusing on the Prophet’s (PBUH) character, teachings, and message.
The event concluded with prayers for the country’s peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the global Muslim community. Syeda Nazia Ashraf, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, served as the program moderator.
