Smog Awareness Lecture Held in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) An awareness lecture was held at Government High School Gorali under the Smog Awareness and Prevention Campaign 2026 to educate students, teachers, and school staff about the causes, harmful effects, and preventive measures related to smog.
According to an official source, Additional Director Agriculture Gujrat Muhammad Athar Latif and Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension) Dr Wajahat Azim addressed the participants and highlighted the importance of collective efforts to control air pollution. They urged students and teachers to convey the message of smog prevention to farmers and encourage them to avoid burning crop residues, which is one of the major causes of smog.
The speakers stated that public awareness and cooperation are essential for reducing environmental pollution and protecting public health.
