Chief Minister Sohail Afridi stated that they accelerated the date as part of a strategy, with preparations now complete for a 24-hour notice PTI Long March.
Details of the Meeting
During a joint press conference with former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Afridi revealed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is prepared to launch their march promptly on short notice. Derailing from September 27th, the date was strategically adjusted.
Afridi and Gandapur visited Dera Ismail Khan, meeting at the residence of the latter. They later toured DHQ Hospital, inquiring about the injured following a suicide attack at a checkpost in Darazinda Tehsil.
Condemnation and Care for Injured
Condemning the terrorist incidents in Duki and Dera Ismail Khan, Afridi assured support to security forces for peace and order restoration. He emphasized that providing care to the injured was a top priority for his government.
Afridi confirmed that all arrangements for the September 27th protest and march to Islamabad were finalized. However, in light of the movement's success and national conditions, they decided to postpone it as part of their strategy. He encouraged workers and citizens to remain vigilant, emphasizing their readiness to begin marching at any time with a 24-hour notice.
