SP Headquarters Conducts Surprise Visit To Greater Iqbal Park Licensing Centre

SP Headquarters Lahore, led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Fakhar Bashir Raja, conducted a surprise visit to the Driving Licensing Centre and Driving School at Greater Iqbal Park on Friday. During the visit, they reviewed various stages of the licensing process and the facilities provided to citizens.

SP inspected different sections of the licensing centre and sought feedback from citizens about their experiences. They directed staff to enhance comfort by adding chairs and ensuring cold drinking water. At the driving school, SP emphasized practical training for trainees, particularly in tyre changing and electrical/mechanical work.

Raja stressed the importance of traffic officers facilitating citizens and simplifying the licensing process. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi assured merit and transparency at all centres, adding that corruption would not be tolerated and officials found guilty would face dismissal rather than suspension. He directed driving centres to prioritize women and senior citizens and ordered video recordings of driving tests for all applicants to be preserved.

Additionally, CTO instructed authorities to display the public helpline number 0322-5638888 prominently at all driving licensing centres for citizen convenience.
