SSP Qazi Pushes for Timely Completion of Capital Patrol Unit HQ
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd Aug, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Qazi Ali Raza, on Sunday pushed for the timely completion of the modern Capital Patrol Unit (CPU) Headquarters to strengthen patrolling, improve emergency response and enhance operational capacity. He inspected ongoing construction work at the facility and Shalimar Police Station.
An ICT Police official told APP that the SSP Qazi visited Shalimar Police Station and CPU Headquarters, conducting a detailed inspection of the construction and renovation work. During the visit, Qazi received a briefing from concerned officers on different stages of construction, work quality, progress achieved so far, and the set completion timeline.
He directed officers to complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe and according to high construction standards, ensuring regular monitoring at every stage. The SSP made clear that any unnecessary delay or negligence would not be tolerated, directing officials to complete all work under coordinated planning. He emphasized that there should be no compromise on construction quality while adhering strictly to all technical and safety requirements during execution.
Highlighting the importance of the CPU, Qazi stated that it is a crucial operational arm of ICT Police, playing an important role in protecting citizens, patrolling major roads, responding quickly to emergencies, and preventing crime. He noted that a modern headquarters would further strengthen the unit’s capacity and enable its personnel to deliver more effective, prompt, and quality police services to citizens.
The SSP directed concerned officers to utilize all available resources for timely completion while maintaining required standards. Qazi emphasized that ICT Police is dedicated to improving infrastructure and operational capabilities to ensure effective policing, quicker response, and better public service delivery across the Federal capital.
