Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon to Host The Voice UK in ITV Revamp

Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon are set to host The Voice UK as part of a major revamp announced by ITV.
The duo will replace Emma Willis, who has presented the singing contest since 2014 but recently left to front Strictly Come Dancing on the BBC.
ITV also confirmed earlier reports that singer Cheryl and rapper Aitch will join the The Voice as coaches, taking their seats in the show’s iconic red chairs.
This follows Sir Tom Jones’ announcement earlier this week that he had been removed from the series despite wanting to stay, due to an insurance issue.
On Friday, the network stated:
"ITV would like to thank the irreplaceable Sir Tom Jones for all his years on The Voice UK, and the countless incredible and unforgettable moments he gave the show. He has brought joy to audiences, and to every singer who performed for him and with him."
The changes will be implemented from the next series, which began filming on Friday. The current series airing on ITV was filmed in 2022.
Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland will remain on the coaching panel alongside Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am, who has been with the show since its inception.
Sir Tom, 86, had expressed his disappointment at being offered a reduced role on the show, stating:
"The reason given is because of a financial difficulty with insurance. They now say in the press they wanted to ‘refresh’ the show, and with a new coaching line-up there wouldn’t be a chair for me."
He concluded:
"The only thing I know right now is that there’s never a good time to fire an 86-year-old who’s still pretty good at his job."
Cheryl launched her career with pop group Girls Aloud and later had several chart hits as a solo artist. She has also collaborated with Will.I.Am.
Aitch, a Manchester-born rapper, is known for hits like Rain, Baby, War, and Taste (Make It Shake).
ITV described the new coaches as:
"Fusing legendary industry experience with a vibrant competitive spirit, our latest panel of icons is ready to discover and celebrate the most remarkable and exciting vocal talent emerging from every corner of the country."
Dixon rose to fame as a member of girl group Mis-Teeq and has served as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent. She has also hosted The Greatest Dancer and the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool in 2023.
Solomon, known for coming second on The X Factor in 2009, is currently a host on Sort Your Life Out and has appeared on reality show Stacey & Joe with her husband, Joe Swash.
Earlier this year, it was reported that McFly stars Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones would not be returning to The Voice, having shared a chair as joint coaches for the last two series.
On Friday, ITV added:
"We thank Emma Willis, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones for their brilliant contributions, and who all brought so much dedication, expertise, and energy to The Voice UK and we wish them all the best for their future projects."
