Strategic Planning Unit Delegation Visits Industrial Units in Sialkot

A delegation comprising officers from the Strategic Planning Unit (SPU), Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department, visited the Metal Industries Development Centre (MIDC) Sialkot, and the Institute of Surgical Technology (IST) – Centre of Excellence.
They were warmly welcomed by the project director, principal, and institute staff. During their visit, the delegation explored various areas including workshops, labs, classrooms, and training facilities, observing practical training sessions.
The delegation gained insights into the Common Facility Services offered by MIDC, such as technical and industrial support. They also learned about the ongoing Certified Business Training Academy (CBTA) programs at IST, covering diverse technical courses.
They expressed high appreciation for the modern infrastructure, well-equipped facilities, practical learning environment, and overall development at both MIDC and IST. The delegation acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the management and staff in promoting quality technical education, skills development, and industry-oriented training.
