Suthra Punjab MD Orders Uninterrupted Sanitation, Drainage Operations

Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency Rawalpindi, Rana Sajid Safdar, conducted a visit for the second consecutive day to review sanitation and drainage arrangements across the city.
He visited Pirwadhai General Bus Stand, Nullah Lai, Murree Road and other areas, inspecting the ongoing zero-waste cleaning operation and reviewing preparations made in view of the ongoing spell of rain.
Accompanied by Manager Operations District Rawalpindi Amir Younis Naik, Manager Operations City Syed Hassan Sardar and other operational officers and field staff, the MD discussed:
- Sanitation operations
- Waste lifting
- Cleaning of drains
- Measures for smooth drainage during rainfall
Speaking on the occasion, the MD directed all operational staff to remain fully mobilised during the current spell of rain, ensuring maximum relief to citizens regarding sanitation and drainage issues. He emphasised the need for prompt redressal of public complaints, instructing officials not to keep any complaint pending.
He further ordered:
- Strengthening the zero-waste operation
- Ensuring no garbage piles are visible in the city
- Continued drain-cleaning activities without interruption to prevent blockages during rainfall
- Special attention to low-lying areas, deploying extra workers and machinery as needed
- Field staff to remain present during rainfall, resolving issues on the spot.
The MD reiterated that Suthra Punjab Agency Rawalpindi's primary goal is to provide citizens with a clean and healthy environment, demanding dedication and accountability from all officers and workers. He warned of strict action against negligent staff under a zero-tolerance policy.
Lastly, he directed field officers to ensure uninterrupted sanitation and drainage operations during rainfall, taking every measure possible to aid citizens.
