Tariq Fazal Visits Rain-Affected Areas, Reviews Rain Situation in Federal Capital

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, on Tuesday visited rain-affected areas of Islamabad and reviewed the situation following heavy rainfall. Officials of the district administration and local leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) accompanied him during the visit.

Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry inspected various affected areas and reviewed arrangements for draining accumulated rainwater. He directed authorities to immediately address water logging in low-lying areas and on roads, emphasizing: "All necessary measures should be taken to maintain traffic flow and ensure public convenience."

The minister noted that some drains had overflowed, causing difficulties for citizens in several locations. "The CDA, Metropolitan Corporation and Islamabad administration, along with all relevant departments, are actively working in the field," he said.

Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry assured constant communication with the Deputy Commissioner and Chief Commissioner and is personally monitoring the situation. He instructed local PML-N leadership to remain present in affected areas, coordinating with the district administration: "The local leadership should identify citizens’ problems and ensure their immediate resolution."

He expressed government solidarity with the people during this difficult time, promising all possible assistance. "We understand the challenges faced by citizens due to heavy rainfall. Efforts are underway to restore normalcy as soon as possible," he said.

The federal minister commended the administration’s quick response and field presence following the rainfall, directing relevant departments to remain active until full normalization.
