The life of Rocky Horror star Tim Curry

BBC News reports on the passing of English actor Tim Curry, best known for his iconic role as Frank-N-Furter in the film musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Curry, aged 80, also portrayed the menacing clown Pennywise in the TV adaptation of Stephen King’s It, and played Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island.

His illustrious career included roles in numerous films such as Annie, The Hunt for Red October, and Home Alone 2, earning him three Tony Award nominations on Broadway. Curry suffered a major stroke in 2012, requiring the use of a wheelchair, but continued to leave his mark with the publication of his memoir, Vagabond, last year.
