The Operator’s Playbook: What Two Decades in the World’s Hardest Markets Taught Kamran Pitafi About the Future of Manufacturing
Kamran Pitafi, with over 23 years of experience in the global consumer electronics industry, has seen it all. From his early days as a planning executive covering East African markets to becoming the General Manager and Head of Department for Panasonic’s Middle East and Africa Division, he has navigated volatile demand, fragmented distribution networks, and rapidly changing customer behavior.
His extensive career includes roles in engineering, business development, strategic planning, and international commercial leadership. He began at LG Electronics before joining Panasonic Middle East & Africa, where his rapid rise saw him take on various commercial leadership positions. Based in Dubai, he managed multi-country operations, led multicultural teams, and was responsible for commercial strategy, sales, marketing, distribution, logistics, and customer service across diverse international markets.
These experiences ultimately led to the publication of The Manufacturing-to-Market Framework (M2M): Connecting Production, Distribution, and Commercial Growth in 2024. This work documents a structured methodology for aligning manufacturing, distribution, and commercial execution across complex international markets.
Navigating Markets: A Journey
