Three Arrested in Qazi Ahmed Murder Case
Hyderabad, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026) Qazi Ahmed Police have arrested three suspects, including the alleged main accused, in connection with the murder of Amanullah Chandio. Shaheed Benazirabad Police are intensifying efforts to bring all involved to justice.
Acting on the directives of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad Sumair Noor Channa, a police team led by DSP Qazi Ahmed Rahim Bux Khoso and SHO Qazi Ahmed initiated an investigation into the murder, which occurred near village Sono Chandio. Police stated that the victim was allegedly killed following a dispute related to his second marriage.
According to the police spokesperson, the victim’s wife, Haliman Chandio, allegedly orchestrated the murder with the assistance of her brothers and nephew. A case was subsequently registered at Qazi Ahmed Police Station on the complaint of the deceased’s sister, Maryam Chandio, naming Haliman Chandio and three other suspects.
Utilizing modern investigative techniques and technical resources, the police team tracked down and arrested three suspects, including Abdul Basit, identified by police as the main accused. These arrests represent a significant advancement in the investigation, while efforts continue to apprehend the remaining suspects allegedly involved in the crime.
DSP Rahim Bux Khoso and the SHO provided updates on the investigation during a press conference at Qazi Ahmed Police Station, outlining the steps taken to identify the suspects and progress in the case.
SSP Sumair Noor Channa emphasized Shaheed Benazirabad Police’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against criminal elements, assuring that those responsible for the murder would be brought to justice. He stressed that no innocent person would suffer and that the rule of law would be strictly enforced.
