Three Women, Including a Girl, Injured in Armed Attack Over Dispute
MUZAFFARGARH, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th Aug, 2026) Three women, including a 12-year-old girl, sustained critical injuries when armed men allegedly attacked their house over a minor dispute in the jurisdiction of Rohillan Wali police station on Wednesday.
According to an FIR registered with the police station, around 14 armed men allegedly stormed the house of widow Khurshid Bibi and opened fire. As a result, Mehtab Bibi (12) sustained bullet injuries to her chest and hand, while Hajra Bibi received bullet wounds to her chest and abdomen. Khurshid Bibi also sustained bullet injuries in the attack.
The injured women were shifted to Nishtar Hospital after receiving initial treatment at the DHQ Hospital in view of their critical condition.
Police registered a case against Rao Tayyab and Rao Mustafa and 12 unidentified persons on the complaint of Khurshid Bibi. According to the complainant, the victims had earlier registered a case against Rao Tayyab for allegedly stealing shuttering material from their godown. Following this, the accused allegedly attacked the women, threatened them, and demanded the withdrawal of the case registered with the police.
Police examined the crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
