Three Zonal SPs Get New Postings, DIG Ali Waseem Assumes Charge in Islamabad – UrduPoint
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have announced new postings of three zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs), while Ali Waseem, PSP/BS-19, has assumed charge as DIG Islamabad (Operations).
An official told APP on Tuesday that SP City Division, Dr Ayaz Hussain, has been transferred and posted as SP Industrial Area Division with immediate effect. He said Hasnain Waris, previously serving as SP Industrial Area Division, has been transferred and posted as SP Soan Division. Meanwhile, Flight Lieutenant (Retd) Muhammad Khurram Ashraf, who was serving as SP Soan Division, has been transferred and posted as SP City Division.
The official said the three postings and transfers had been made with immediate effect and until further orders.
In a separate posting, Ali Waseem, PSP/BS-19, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed DIG Islamabad (Operations) and has assumed charge of the post. He replaced Captain (Retd) Ali Raza, PSP, who had been holding the look-after charge of DIG Islamabad (Operations).
Ali Waseem has previously served in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan in different capacities.
