TikToker Ali Zain Bukhari Arrested Over Viral Anti-State Video

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Sep, 2026) The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad has arrested TikToker Syed Ali Zain Bukhari from Islamabad for allegedly spreading anti-state propaganda and sensitive content through social media.
According to sources and senior security officials, the Cyber Crime Investigation Agency received information during social media monitoring that TikToker Syed Ali Zain Bukhari was allegedly using his various digital handles, particularly TikTok, to circulate anti-state content, derogatory narratives against national security institutions and hateful videos.
Taking immediate and strict notice of the matter, a special team of NCCIA Islamabad conducted the operation and took the suspect into custody.
It has been reported that the arrested TikToker, Syed Ali Zain Bukhari, is primarily from Nowshera district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has significant influence in the digital world. His main TikTok account has about 3.8 million (over 38 lakh) followers and subscribers, enabling any video or content he posts to reach hundreds of thousands and tens of millions of people within minutes.
It was learnt that following his arrest, Syed Ali Zain Bukhari was immediately transferred to the NCCIA Islamabad central cybercrime police station, where his mobile phones, laptop and other digital devices were taken into custody and subjected to forensic analysis. Preparations are under way to register a case against him under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and other relevant legal provisions. Further investigation is also under way into his alleged motives for producing the anti-state video and the possible facilitators or motives behind it.
