TMA Peharpur Launches Plantation, Cleanliness Drive to Improve Urban Environment
Dera Ismail Khan, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Peharpur has launched a plantation and cleanliness drive to enhance the beauty of the town and provide citizens with a clean, green, and healthy environment.
Planting for a Greener Peharpur
The plantation activity was organized at Family Park Peharpur under the special supervision of Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Peharpur, Attaullah. He participated in the event, planting saplings alongside enthusiastic students. A similar initiative has also begun at Milad Park, where saplings are being planted to boost the green space and improve the park’s overall aesthetics.
Attaullah, speaking at the occasion, emphasized that promoting a clean and green environment is a key focus for the TMA. He noted that plantation efforts are underway at public parks and other suitable locations to make Peharpur more attractive and environmentally conscious.
He further stated that while planting saplings is important, ensuring their proper care and protection is crucial so they can grow into healthy trees and contribute to an improved environment. Attaullah expressed encouragement for the active student participation in plantation activities, as it fosters environmental awareness among the younger generation and encourages them to maintain their surroundings.
Intensifying Cleanliness Efforts
In parallel with plantation activities, TMA Peharpur has ramped up cleanliness operations across the town. Sanitation staff are working diligently to enhance cleanliness at public places, streets, and other vital areas, all under Attaullah‘s supervision. The performance of sanitation teams and overall cleanliness are being closely monitored.
TMA officials underscored that cleanliness is not merely about aesthetics but is essential for maintaining a healthy urban environment. Regular sanitation activities and the improvement of public spaces contribute to better living conditions for citizens, they added.
The TMA has also appealed to citizens to collaborate with sanitation staff, refrain from littering in public places and parks, and actively participate in preserving cleanliness and protecting newly planted saplings. Attaullah affirmed that TMA would continue its efforts towards cleanliness, plantation, and beautification in Peharpur, emphasizing the importance of collective action by the administration, students, civil society, and citizens to develop a clean, green, and beautiful town.
