Turkish Airlines Flight Hit by Stormy Winds Due to Bad Weather
A Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Tunis faced severe weather upon reaching Carthage International Airport and was diverted to an alternative airport for landing.

A Turkish Airlines flight encountered stormy weather while landing in Tunisia, leaving passengers frightened. According to an international broadcaster, Turkish Airlines flight TK661 from Istanbul to Tunis experienced severe difficulties as it approached Tunis-Carthage International Airport.
The aircraft attempted to land at the airport three times but all attempts failed amid the intense storm, forcing the flight to divert to Enfidha-Hammamet International Airport, located approximately 60 miles south, where it landed safely. No passengers were reported injured in the incident.
A passenger, Marina Meskaya, shared a video of the incident on her Instagram account. The video shows all passengers holding tightly to their seats and screaming in fear.
In a caption on Marina Meskaya’s Instagram post, she described how the pilot attempted to land the aircraft three times despite the storm but faced severe difficulties during each attempt. She noted that during the third attempt, the plane suddenly began rapidly descending, making the situation even more terrifying.
Terrified by the situation, passengers began screaming and demanded that the aircraft land in another country or at an alternative airport. Marina Meskaya expressed relief over the safe landing and thanked the pilots.
