Two arrested in London on suspicion of assisting Iran’s intelligence service
The Metropolitan Police has announced the arrest of two individuals in London on suspicion of assisting Iran’s intelligence service.
A 60-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were detained at properties in London on Wednesday as part of an investigation into suspected National Security Act (NSA) offences. Both have been released on bail under strict conditions.
The arrests, which took place following searches in June, are not linked to any incidents or attacks targeting Jewish or Iranian communities in London earlier this year, according to the Met.
