Two Died As Motorcycle Plunges Into Ravine In Bakote

ABBOTTABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) Two young men, Waleed, son of Ishtiaq, and Tasleem, lost their lives on Friday when their motorcycle veered off the road and fell into a ravine on Salol Bandi Road, within the jurisdiction of Chamiyali Police Post, Union Council Patan Kalan, Bakote.
According to local sources, the victims were en route to Bandi Chamiyali for a funeral prayer and to offer condolences to a bereaved family. The motorcycle reportedly lost control due to the poor condition of the Thandiani-Patan-Palhair Road and tumbled into a ravine, resulting in their fatal injuries. Police arrived at the scene after receiving a report while local residents retrieved the bodies.
The incident caused widespread grief in the area. Residents expressed concern over the deteriorating road conditions in Bakote Circle and highlighted the dangers posed by the Thandiani-Patan-Palhair, Nathia Gali-Bakote, and Boi-Dalola roads. They called for immediate repairs and effective safety measures to prevent further loss of life.
