Two Held After 9-year-old Seminary Student Dies Following Violence
UrduPoint (August 27, 2026) – Police have arrested two suspects following the death of a nine-year-old seminary student who allegedly died after being subjected to violence.
According to police spokesperson, Muhammad Faizan was a resident of Bhakkar and had arrived at a madrassa in Kallar Syedan around four months ago to pursue religious education. The child’s body was taken from the hospital to Bhakkar, and during the bathing of the body, family members reportedly noticed marks of physical violence and contacted the police.
Kallar Syedan Police subsequently arranged a post-mortem examination and registered a case. Two suspects have been taken into custody and are being interrogated.
Police stated that anyone found involved in the incident would be arrested and brought to justice. They reiterated that violence against children would not be tolerated under any circumstances, adding that those responsible for the "heinous act" would not escape the law.
