Two Killed, Seven Injured As Speeding Van Crashes Into Tractor-trolley In Muzaffargarh – UrduPoint

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8th Sep, 2026) Two people, including a woman, were killed and seven others injured when a speeding passenger van collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with bricks near Khudai Adda on Muzaffargarh-Jhang Road on Tuesday.

According to the Rescue 1122 control room, the van was traveling from Multan to Ahmadpur Sial when its driver attempted to overtake another vehicle and crashed into the brick-laden tractor-trolley.

As a result, 42-year-old Nasreen, wife of Rab Nawaz, and 35-year-old Nazir, son of Sher Muhammad, died on the spot. Seven passengers sustained injuries in the accident. Two of the injured, identified as Muhammad Asif and Zeeshan, received first aid at the scene and were allowed to return home. Kausar Bibi was shifted to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) Rangpur, while Rab Nawaz and Sheeraz Asghar, who were in critical condition, were referred to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for further treatment.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to RHC Rangpur under police supervision for completion of legal formalities.

Upon receiving information about the accident, Rescue 1122 Muzaffargarh immediately dispatched four ambulances—one each from Rescue Stations Rangpur and Head Muhammadwala and two from Muzaffargarh station—to the scene. The police control room was also informed.

Rescue teams reached the site, cordoned off the accident area, and launched relief operations under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Ubaidullah Khan, who remained present at the scene.

The rescuers also removed the accident-hit vehicle from the roadway and restored the flow of traffic. A total of 12 rescuers and four ambulances participated in the rescue operation, according to Rescue 1122 Muzaffargarh.
