Two Killed, Seven Injured In Road Accident

Two persons were killed while seven others sustained multiple injuries in a collision between a trailer and a truck near here on Tuesday.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, the accident took place near a petrol pump on Taunsa Bypass where a truck collided with a trailer after its driver lost control over the steering due to a tyre burst. As a result, two persons identified as Ansar Abbas (35) and Ibrahim (32) died on the spot while seven others suffered multiple injuries.
The injured were identified as Rashid, Farooq, Shakir, Arshad, Sadiq, Talib and Nasrullah. The bodies were shifted to their native area, Basti Sehrani.
The rescuers shifted the injured to Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital, DG Khan after providing first aid. Rescue teams also continued efforts to clear the affected road using a rescue vehicle.
