Two Missing Girls, Two Kidnapped Traders Recovered in Khyber
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – September 10, 2026) Police in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber district on Thursday claimed to have recovered two girls who went missing from a local market.
According to police, the recovered girls are 15-year-old Fatima and eight-year-old Nazia, both residents of Bazaar Zakha Khel. During the investigation, police learned that the girls had allegedly been lured to the market on the pretext of receiving money from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). The person who informed them about the payment later switched off his mobile phone. After the girls went missing, their father filed a complaint at the police station.
Following the complaint, SHO Sadiq Khan launched an investigation. Police examined information linked to various phone numbers and individuals and eventually succeeded in recovering both girls.
Meanwhile, police of Landi Kotal in Khyber district successfully recovered kidnapped trader Muhammad Zareef, alias Haji Landa, and another abducted person, Zareef Shinwari. Police said they made extensive efforts to secure their release and ultimately achieved success in recovering the traders.
Local residents and the business community have praised the Landi Kotal Police for their successful efforts in rescuing the abducted traders.
