UAE Delegation Explores Expanding Government Experience Exchange Partnership With Senegal

An official visit by the UAE government delegation to Senegal has focused on deepening the Government Experience Exchange partnership between the two nations. The discussions centered on expanding cooperation to include new initiatives and projects that align with Senegal’s national development agenda while enhancing government performance.
The UAE delegation held meetings with key Senegalese officials, including:
- Mohamed bin Taliah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Government Experience Exchange
- Alain Diouf, Minister to the President of the Republic of Senegal, in charge of Monitoring and Evaluation of the “Senegal 2050” National Transformation Agenda
- Thioro Mbaye Sall, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Civil Service, Public Service Transformation
- Dr. Birame Holo Ba, Director-General of the Operational Bureau for Cooridnation and Monitoiring of Projects and Programmes (BOCS)
- Babacar Ning, Director-General of the Sovereign Fund for Strategic Investments (FONSIS)
- Arona Touré, Director of Technical Cooperation and Coordinator of the Support Programme for Solidarity Development Initiatives.
The discussions covered:
- Progress within the existing partnership.
- Identifying Senegal’s government priorities.
- Exploring avenues for further collaboration in areas like government transformation, capacity building, and operational efficiency.
Mohamed bin Taliah emphasized that the UAE Government prioritizes partnerships built on knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and learning. He noted that the Emirati Government Experience Exchange Programme is committed to supporting Senegal’s development goals by:
- Transferring successful practices.
- Building government capacity.
- Translating knowledge into tangible results.
During his meeting with Alain Diouf, bin Taliah discussed Senegal’s key projects and future aspirations, exploring areas where the partnership can contribute to achieving national targets.
