UAE President and German Chancellor Witness Launch Of Strategic Dialogue

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz today witnessed the announcement of several agreements, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), and letters of intent aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two nations across various sectors.
This event was part of His Highness’ state visit to Germany.
The agreements aim to build upon the existing long-term partnership between the UAE and Germany and expand collaboration within their strategic framework, focusing on economic development, advanced technology, and energy.
Agreements and Intent Documents:
- Joint Declaration of Intent on the Establishment of the UAE-German Investment Council
- Memorandum Concerning Air Transport Arrangements and Access Rights for UAE National Carriers to Berlin Airport
- Cooperation Arrangement towards an International Initiative to Streamline Passenger Procedures
- Letter of Intent on Exploring a Framework for Cooperation in Defense and Security
- Joint Declaration of Intent on Expanding Energy Sector Collaboration
- Joint Declaration of Intent on Investing in Data Centers in Germany
- Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cooperation in Combating All Forms of Crime
- MOU on Environmental Cooperation
- Draft Letter of Intent for Data Hosting and Information Systems Collaboration
- MOU on Cultural Exchange and Cooperation
These agreements, MOUs, and letters were exchanged by representatives from both countries, including:
- UAE: Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security), Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber (Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Special Envoy), Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei (Minister of State for Defense Affairs), Lana Zaki Nusseibeh (Minister of State), and Noura Al Kaabi (Minister of State).
