UEFA Nations League: Irish Team Protest Israeli Atrocities in Gaza With Black Armbands
Irish players protested against Israel in the context of the Gaza war during the UEFA Nations League, wearing black armbands during their match against Israel. During the Israeli national anthem, the Irish players kept their hands behind their backs and looked towards the ground, and the traditional pre-match handshake did not take place.
Jack Moylan, who scored Ireland's third goal, removed the black armband from his arm after scoring, kissed it, and raised it. Ireland won the match 0-3.
