WASA Directed To Expedite Anti-dengue Measures Across All Offices

Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director (MD) Engineer Saqib Raza has ordered all offices and directorates to turn anti-dengue measures into a daily operational priority.

He directed WASA officials to:

  • Eliminate stagnant water
  • Ensure thorough cleaning of buildings and water tanks
  • Submit photographic evidence of preventive activities to block mosquito breeding.

During a meeting, the MD instructed all directorates to adopt proactive and effective measures against dengue, completing all necessary arrangements for cleanliness and preventive activities at their respective offices.

He emphasized that:

  • Negligence in maintaining a clean environment could provide breeding grounds for dengue mosquitoes.
  • All concerned officials must ensure strict implementation of the anti-dengue action plan.

Engineer Saqib Raza directed respective directors to:

  • Maintain responsibility for the cleanliness of all office buildings
  • Personally monitor preventive arrangements
  • Thoroughly clean office buildings, rooftops, and water tanks
  • Immediately remove stagnant water accumulated in office premises or adjoining areas, under no circumstances allowing it to remain.

The MD WASA stressed the importance of eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites to protect employees and the public from dengue and preventing the spread of the disease.

He further directed officials to:

  • Maintain a proper record of anti-dengue activities
  • Provide photographic evidence of the measures undertaken, ensuring effective monitoring and compliance across all WASA offices and directorates.
