WASA Has No Connection With Road Pothole In Johar Town: Spokesperson

(LAHORE, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026)) The Lahore Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has clarified that it has no connection with the pothole reported in Johar Town, stating that the affected road falls within the limits of a private housing society.
According to a WASA spokesperson, the road connecting Shadiwal to Nazriya Pakistan Chowk is located within the jurisdiction of a private society and does not fall under WASA Lahore’s administrative control.
The spokesperson explained that a sewerage connection for the private housing society had been affected at the site. Since the road and associated sewerage infrastructure are within the private society’s domain, the matter is not within WASA Lahore’s purview.
He emphasized it was inaccurate to attribute the pothole on the private society’s road to WASA Lahore. The spokesperson further stated that WASA Lahore is focused on maintaining and repairing infrastructure under its jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, the contractor for the private housing society has initiated work at the affected site to resolve the issue.
