WASA Launches Drive To Install Fire Hydrants At All Government Hospitals

Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) has launched a comprehensive initiative to strengthen fire safety at government hospitals across Faisalabad, installing four fire hydrants at different locations of Allied Hospital-I.

WASA Managing Director Engineer Saqib Raza stated that this program aligns with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision to install a total of 20 fire hydrants at government hospitals in Faisalabad, enhancing their emergency firefighting capacity.

Key points:

  • Four fire hydrants have been installed at Allied Hospital-I.
  • An additional 16 hydrants will be installed at other major government hospitals across the city.
  • Installations include:
    • Two at Children’s Hospital
    • Two at Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology (FIC)
    • Two at General Hospital Samanabad
    • Two at General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad
    • Two at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Hospital.
  • All installations are expected to be completed by September 05.

Engineer Saqib Raza emphasized WASA’s commitment to protecting lives during emergencies, particularly in healthcare facilities where large numbers of people gather. He noted that the dedicated fire hydrants will enhance hospitals’ response times and provide an extra layer of safety for patients and staff. If additional needs arise, WASA will accommodate them.
