Archeologists Discover Remarkable Intact Tomb in Peru
Archeologists have unearthed an ancient tomb in Peru’s north, near Chan Chan, that has remained largely undisturbed for over 600 years. The tomb contained the remains of at least 38 individuals, along with a trove of artifacts, including metal weapons, from the pre-Incan Chimu civilization, which flourished between 900 and 1470 AD.
This discovery is noteworthy for its similarity to previous, looted and destroyed sites from the colonial era, emphasizing the remarkable preservation of this particular tomb.
