We Support Jamaat-e-Islami Sit-In, Barrister Gohar Announces

ISLAMABAD, ( UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Sep, 2026) Amid growing political tensions, soaring inflation and a wave of protests against the government, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced its support for Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-ins, signaling the possibility of a joint front.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar said in a statement that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf fully supports Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-ins and public protests. He also welcomed Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman’s statement regarding Imran Khan’s release.
Regarding Jamaat-e-Islami’s expected protests and nationwide sit-ins on September 20, Barrister Gohar said PTI would stand alongside the party’s entire struggle against inflation, the petroleum levy and the exploitation of ordinary people. He added that PTI would formally invite Jamaat-e-Islami to participate in its scheduled long march on September 27.
