We Will Continue the Journey of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Development and Public Welfare: PM Shehbaz Sharif

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, discussing the province’s political situation, law and order, and mutual interests.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated: The journey of development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and public welfare in the province will continue.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Prime Minister Sharif held a meeting at the Prime Minister’s House, delving into the political landscape, law and order, and matters of shared interest within the province.
Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to: promoting development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the welfare of its inhabitants. The gathering also emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration between the federation and the province in addressing public issues.
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, were present at the meeting.
Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened a meeting with Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik. Malik provided an update on preparations for heavy rains during the current monsoon season and potential flooding risks.
Shehbaz Sharif directed:
- The mobilization of all available resources to offer assistance and relief to affected areas.
- Ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow on roads and bridges during rain events.
- Strengthening coordination among relevant departments for transporting relief supplies.
- Maintaining institutions’ readiness in anticipation of heavy rains and potential flooding across the country.
