West Zone DIGP Reviews 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal Security Arrangements in Central District

KARACHI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th Aug, 2026) Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) West Zone Irfan Baloch, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) District Central Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan, on Wednesday reviewed security arrangements for 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal processions in various areas of District Central.

According to a District Central police spokesperson, the officers inspected security arrangements for processions emerging from different roads and issued necessary instructions to police officers and personnel deployed on security duties.

During the visit, they also met procession organisers, religious scholars and community elders, who appreciated the police efforts and arrangements to ensure foolproof security on the occasion.

District Central Police had made comprehensive security arrangements for more than 66 gatherings and over 50 small and large processions being held on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal. Under the security plan, more than 1,297 police officers and personnel were deployed at various locations, along procession routes and around important installations.

Police officers and personnel monitored security along the procession routes while also ensuring smooth traffic flow and facilitating citizens.
