Woman Killed, Three Injured
GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) A woman met her untimely end while three others, including a child, suffered injuries when an oil tanker collided with a passenger coaster near Fatehpur Chowk here on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred allegedly due to the tanker driver’s momentary lapse in attention, leading to the vehicle’s collision with the coaster.
As a consequence:
- Yasmeen Karamat (33) lost her life instantly.
- Ibrahim Naveed (4),
Naveed Iqbal (41), and
Shaista Naveed (35) sustained injuries, with the critically injured child shifted to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital, Gujrat for specialized treatment.
Rescue 1122 teams swiftly responded to the scene, providing initial aid to the wounded. The body of the deceased woman was also transported to the hospital.
