Woman Protection Awareness Session Held in Gujrat
GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 11th Sep, 2026) An awareness and training session on protection of women from workplace harassment was held at the Gujrat campus of the University of Chenab to sensitise students and faculty members about legal rights and complaint procedures.
According to an official source, Punjab Ombudsperson for Protection of Women, Dr Najma Afzal Khan, attended the session as the chief guest and briefed participants about legal rights, complaint mechanisms, and institutional responsibilities. She emphasised that providing a safe and dignified environment for women was a shared responsibility and urged students and faculty members to be aware of their rights and approach the relevant forum in case of any untoward incident.
The Punjab Ombudsperson also presented awareness banners to the university administration for display at prominent places.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services, Qurrat-ul-Ain, Rector, Engineer Muhammad Raza Chauhan, faculty members, students, and other officials attended the session. The rector thanked the chief guest and presented shields to officials in recognition of their efforts.
