Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry and Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari exchanged barbs over the expenses of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s London visit.

The controversy surrounding expenses incurred during Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz‘s trip to London to attend her daughter’s graduation ceremony, including the use of an official aircraft, has escalated.
On social media platform X, Fawad Chaudhry criticised Maryam Nawaz‘s visit, stating:
"The cost of Maryam Nawaz’s daughter’s graduation in London was paid by this ‘rich’ nation."
Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari strongly denied all allegations, claiming:
"Absolutely wrong! The Punjab chief minister paid all expenses for the aircraft used for her London visit from her own pocket."
Chaudhry responded sarcastically, asking Bukhari to provide receipts:
"Yes, respected Minister! What should we do with the receipts? When will you provide the receipts for the London flight?"
