Zero Tolerance For Land Encroachment In Murree, Says DC Shirazi

(RAWALPINDI, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026)) The Murree district administration will maintain an unyielding crackdown on illegal encroachments and strict oversight of public services to preserve the area’s environment and improve civic infrastructure, Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi said during an inspection tour on Monday.
Anti-Encroachment Operations and Public Services
Reviewing grand anti-encroachment operations at Guldana and Darya Gali, Shirazi stated that public thoroughfares and state land would be cleared without discrimination. While assessing the Murree Beautification Scheme at Barian Bazaar, he directed officials to expedite work while maintaining strict material standards to provide timely facilities to traders and tourists.
Educational and Sanitation Inspections
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected Government Boys Schools in Barian and Darya Gali to evaluate teaching standards, physical infrastructure, and attendance logs. Sanitation standards across commercial markets, roadways, and educational institutions were also examined. Shirazi instructed the Murree Waste Management Company and municipal staff to conduct daily waste collection, warning that negligence toward public cleanliness would draw strict disciplinary action.
