110 Probationary Officers Of 54th CTP Visit Parliament House

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – Aug 19, 2026) A delegation of 110 probationary officers from the 54th Common Training Programme (CTP) visited Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday.

They were welcomed and briefed by Senate Secretary and Joint Secretary Haris Rehman about the structure, functions, and role of the Senate. The session also covered constitutional arrangements for the upper house. The officers learned about Pakistan’s bicameral parliament and the distinct roles of the Senate and National Assembly.

The briefing highlighted key Senate functions: representation, legislation, and oversight. They were further informed about parliamentary committees and the Senate Secretariat. A special interactive question-and-answer session was held with the delegation.

At the end of the visit, a representative of the delegation presented a shield to the Senate Secretary as a token of appreciation.
