5 Outlaws Held; Drugs, Arms Recovered in DI Khan
Dera police have arrested five suspects in separate operations and recovered 540 grams of hashish, a pistol, Rs3,000 in suspected drug-sale proceeds and a digital weighing scale, as reported on Friday.
The operations were carried out by Cantt police on the directives of District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed and under the supervision of ASP Mubashir Ayub and DSP City Syed Sagheer Gilani. The police teams, led by SHO Cantt Abdul Ghaffar Khan, arrested two suspects, Asif Shehzad and Zubair, wanted in a case of unnatural offences, while Ayub and Yasir were held for alleged drug peddling.
Cases have been registered against the suspects, and further investigation is underway.
DSP City Syed Sagheer Gilani affirmed that the crackdown on criminal elements would continue unabated.
