63rd Central Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) Procession Held in Attock with Religious Fervour
ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - August 26, 2026) The 63rd annual central Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) procession, organized by the District Markazi Seerat Committee Attock to mark 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 AH, was held with great religious fervour, devotion, and enthusiasm. More than 150 Milad committees, religious groups, and organizations from across the district participated.
The procession was led by MNA and Member Supreme Judicial Council Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, ADCG Aneel Saeed, District Police Officer Attock Capt (R) Ali bin Tariq, Chairman Health Committee Malik Hameed Akbar Khan, Chief Patron Sardar Aftab Khan, President Al-Haj Muhammad Ilyas, and Secretary General Nadeem Raza Khan. A large number of religious scholars, spiritual leaders, social figures, and prominent citizens also joined.
Beautifully decorated reception stages were set up along the procession route, where devotees welcomed participants with Naat recitations and Durood-o-Salam. The route included Kutchery Chowk, Lalazar Ground, Fawara Chowk, Madni Chowk, and Mansab Chowk. Upon reaching Imambargah Panjtani Attock City, President Anjuman Janisaran-e-Hussain Raza Naqvi, Secretary General Athar Zaidi, and senior journalist Qamar Jafri welcomed the leaders and participants. Flower petals rained down on the procession, and sweets were distributed.
Raza Naqvi and Athar Zaidi presented garlands to District Markazi Seerat Committee Secretary General Nadeem Raza Khan, Chief Patron Rashid-ur-Rehman Khan, and other leaders.
The procession continued through Old Sabzi Mandi and Civil Bazaar before concluding peacefully at Government Girls High School No. 1 Attock. There, participants recited Naat and Durood-o-Salam, expressing their profound love and devotion to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH). Religious sentiments, unity, and devotion were prominent throughout, with participants praying for peace, prosperity, and harmony in the country.
Attock Police ensured peaceful conduct of the procession through elaborate security arrangements. Barriers and protective enclosures were installed, and alternative traffic routes were designated for smooth vehicular movement. A heavy contingent of police officers and personnel was deployed at entry and exit points, along the route, and at other sensitive locations.
Meanwhile, Suthra Punjab and the Municipal Committee Attock ensured comprehensive cleanliness arrangements, with roads and passageways along the route specially cleaned. Citizens and participants appreciated the arrangements.
