ADC Inspects Sanitation, Orders Immediate Removal Of Garbage In City
SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd Aug, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Municipal Services and Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency, Muhammad Atif Sandhu, on Saturday visited various areas of the city to inspect sanitation arrangements and directed officials to immediately improve cleanliness in open plots, drains, and markets.
During his visit, the ADC inspected Union Councils 88, 89, and 90, residential localities, commercial markets, and surroundings of public offices, gathering feedback from citizens on cleanliness measures. He noticed garbage piles in several locations and instructed the Senior Manager Operations to ensure regular desilting of drains and prompt collection of solid waste.
He ordered immediate cleaning of streets and drains in Chak 91 and Chuna Bhattian, as well as complete removal of waste from open plots in Block 10, the inner city, and around the General Post Office. The ADC also inspected sanitation conditions around government premises like the District Courts, District Public Prosecutor’s Office, and Land Record Centre, directing Assistant Commissioner Sargodha to take necessary steps for sustained cleanliness.
At the Model Rehri Bazaar, he instructed officials to place blue dustbins alongside green bins to facilitate separate disposal of wet waste. He emphasized the need for regular monitoring by Field Monitoring Officers (FMOs), noting that raising sanitation standards requires consistent tracking of worker attendance and adherence to operational schedules, encompassing both street cleaning and open plot maintenance.
