AG Sindh Reviews Pension Cases, Accounts Office Issues In Hyderabad Division

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News) - 22nd Sep, 2026) Accountant General Sindh Miandad Rahujo on Tuesday chaired a meeting of District Accounts Officers (DAOs) and Additional District Accounts Officers (ADAOs) of Hyderabad Division at Shahbaz Hall, Shahbaz Building, Hyderabad.
He reviewed issues relating to pension cases and accounts offices.
Speaking at the meeting, Miandad Rahujo said he had personally observed procedural delays and difficulties in processing pension-related cases during his visits to different districts. He directed the accounts officers to treat pensioners with respect and facilitate them.
He emphasized that government employees who dedicated their professional lives to serving the state should not face difficulties post-retirement.
The District Accounts Officers shared concerns about various procedural issues and challenges in processing pensions and other financial matters. They also discussed complaints regarding alleged double issuance or payment of allowances in police, health, and other departments. Rahujo asked for detailed reports within a week.
He emphasized the need for transparency, proper scrutiny of government payments, and timely resolution of pensioners' grievances. He directed officers to prevent procedural shortcomings from causing unnecessary hardship to retired employees.
