ANF Seizes Over 174kg Of Drugs In Seven Nationwide Operations

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted seven operations in different parts of the country, arresting seven suspected drug suppliers and recovering 174.82 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs 38.3 million.

International Drug Interdiction Operation

In a significant operation, ANF officials recovered 228 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine) from clothes concealed inside a parcel at a courier office in Faisalabad. The parcel was destined for Bahrain.

Domestic Operations

Turbat, Kech: 125 kg of ice seized from a truck near Turbat; two suppliers arrested.

Lahore: 10.8kg of hashish recovered from a rickshaw and a house near a housing society on GT Road; one suspect arrested.

Lahore (another operation): Four kg of ice recovered from a vehicle, leading to the arrest of two suspects.

Karachi: 12 kg of hashish concealed in bushes near the Northern Bypass seized.

Islamabad: 16.8kg of hashish recovered from a vehicle near the Motorway Toll Plaza; accused arrested. Separately, 6kg of hashish seized from a motorcyclist near Hazro Toll Plaza in Attock.

Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997 and further investigations are underway.
