Asim Iftikhar Appointed Pakistan’s New Foreign Secretary

Asim Iftikhar, currently serving as Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations, has been appointed as the country's new Foreign Secretary.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has approved the appointment. Asim Iftikhar will soon take over his new responsibilities after the completion of Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch's term in the third week of this month.
