Barrecore and Boom Cycle Owner Suddenly Shuts Studios

BBC News reports on the sudden closure of all Common Bond studios, the parent company behind high-end fitness brands Barrecore, Boom Cycle, and Kobox.

Common Bond, which also operates Reformcore and Triyoga, emailed customers announcing the closures, currently all located in London, "until further notice." The email expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and apologized for any disruption.

Instructors contacted by the BBC were informed last week they wouldn't be paid on time and learned of the studio closures from the Wednesday email. One instructor shared their experience:

"In good faith, I continued to teach my classes without any news on when or if payment would be made."

It's unclear how many instructors and customers have been affected by this sudden decision. Common Bond is a relatively new company, incorporated in June last year, and has not yet published any accounts.

Barrecore focuses on barre, a low-impact fitness discipline combining elements of pilates, ballet, and yoga that has gained popularity due to endorsements from celebrities like Pippa Middleton.
